Bahrain's first IWPP, delivering electricity and water to EWA under a 20-year Power and Water Purchase Agreement commencing 1 June 2011. Developed on a BOO basis by a consortium of ENGIE (formerly GDF Suez), Gulf Investment Corporation, Kyushu Electric Power Company and Bahrain's Social Insurance Organisation, via project company Al Dur Power & Water Company. EPC contractor: Hyundai Heavy Industries.
