Financial Close Achieved / Major Contracts Under DeliveryProcurement Status
Overview
- Location
- Teesside, England
- Delivery Model
- Sponsor JV: bp (45%), Equinor (45%), TotalEnergies (10%) — Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP). The UK's frontrunner CCUS transaction; first UK CCUS project to reach FID (Dec 2024).
- Scale / Scope
- Represents the FID'd, financed core of the wider East Coast Cluster market architecture — Net Zero Teesside Power (the capture asset) plus the NEP CO2 transport/storage network specifically, not the full 28-project East Coast Cluster (16 Teesside, 12 Humber industrial projects that will use NEP's shared infrastructure once operational, which remains a market-architecture concept rather than a single transaction). Construction underway from mid-2025; start-up targeted 2028.
