Law & Regulation
Judicial Arbitration Law
Establishes a specialized arbitration tribunal (the "JAL Tribunal"), seated at the Kuwait Court of Appeal and comprising three state-appointed judges and two party-appointed arbitrators, for civil and commercial arbitration. Operates alongside Chapter 12 (Articles 173-188) of the Civil and Commercial Procedure Law, which provides the general law on arbitration. Kuwait does not have a single unified arbitration statute; this Law and the Procedure Code together constitute the framework.
