PPP Committee clears Mombasa and Lamu port assets for private investment
National Treasury's PPP Committee approved feasibility studies for Mombasa Berths 11–14, Container Terminal 1, and the Lamu Container Terminal/Special Economic Zone integrated concession — the first formal procurement-track step for Kenya's largest port privatisation programme to date, setting up a September 2026 market engagement. Independently confirmed via the founder-directed targeted verification gate (2026-09-10) across multiple corroborating outlets, not solely the master's original single source.

Kenya Railways officially commenced construction of the 475km Naivasha–Kisumu–Malaba SGR extension in Narok County — the formal start of Kenya's largest active rail infrastructure commitment since the original Mombasa–Nairobi SGR. Date corrected from the master's originally-cited 19 March 2026 groundbreaking to 1 July 2026 (construction commencement) per the targeted verification gate, which found the July date far more consistently corroborated across independent outlets.

Kenya's PPP pipeline reaches 40 active projects, Sh1.7tn programme
The PPP Director-General announced at the Kenya PPP Symposium 2026 that 10 projects are under implementation and 41 more across the pipeline, targeting Sh70bn in private capital for FY2026/27 — the clearest official signal of the scale and acceleration of Kenya's PPP programme as a market. Programme-level signal; deliberately not linked to any single Infrastructure record (see Section 10.B of the master — an editorial interface, not a per-project relationship).

Konza Technopolis Development Authority renamed under new Technopolis Act
President Ruto assented to the Technopolis Act, 2026 on 11 May 2026 (gazetted 15 May 2026 as Kenya Gazette Supplement No. 120, Act No. 13 of 2026), renaming the Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) to the Technopolis Development Authority — an institutional/legal upgrade ahead of Konza's stated "acceleration phase." Now backed by a genuine Tier 1 Kenya Law/Gazette source, upgraded from the master's original press-only sourcing via the targeted verification gate.
