Project

Ras Shokeir Wind Farm

EgyptWind Energy, Renewable Energy, Power GenerationReviewed 30 September 2026

900MW onshore wind IPP sponsored by ENGIE, with a Power Purchase Agreement signed with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC). Financial close was expected around Q3 2026 but is not independently confirmed as achieved as of the research cut-off. Construction is expected to start in 2026, with commissioning targeted for 2028. Classified MINIMAL V1 given the comparatively thinner source base relative to the FULL V1 records; classified Active Pipeline given the signed PPA, identified sponsor and offtaker, and defined capacity, consistent with how the frozen Kuwait corpus treats PPA/ECWPA-signed, pre-financial-close projects.
