The project is modernising Rumailah Hospital’s fire and life-safety infrastructure while the hospital remains operational. Its scope combines replacement and upgrade of detection, alarm, suppression, emergency-lighting and evacuation systems with architectural fire-safety works and structural assessments that may lead to strengthening or rehabilitation. The Ministry of Public Health is documented as collaborating on this upgrade; that collaboration is preserved here as context rather than as a persisted participant relationship, pending unambiguous resolution of the organization and an accurate existing role. Ashghal reported the works more than 65% complete as of 11 August 2026, with completion scheduled for the first quarter of 2027 — this is a dated milestone, not a continuously current figure.
