Law No. 27 of 1994 Promulgating the Law Concerning Arbitration in Civil and Commercial Matters

Egypt's general arbitration law, based on the 1985 UNCITRAL Model Law (Egypt has not adopted the 2006 UNCITRAL amendments). Minor amendments followed in 1997 and 2000. A broader reform-committee review remains ongoing as of the research cut-off, with no amendments enacted.
