Law No. 4 of 1994 for the Protection of the Environment

Egypt's principal environmental protection framework, governing environmental assessment, pollution control, hazardous substances and waste, environmental monitoring and compliance. Infrastructure projects may require environmental assessment and approvals under the framework in addition to sector-specific licences, concessions and other project authorisations.
