Law No. 67 of 2010 Regulating the Participation of the Private Sector in Infrastructure Projects, Services and Public Utilities

Egypt's principal statutory framework for public-private partnership projects involving infrastructure, public utilities and public services. The law establishes a dedicated framework for private-sector participation, including PPP project preparation and procurement, project-company structures, long-term PPP agreements, private financing, operation and maintenance, risk allocation and Government involvement. The framework was materially amended by Law No. 153 of 2021 to streamline procedures and strengthen private-sector participation.
